French silver flatware, 7.25", 22.5 Ozs, 6 forks and 6 spoons bearing French first standard Minerva hallmark (.950) and Ernest Cardeilhac trademark, Cardeilhac was the official silversmith of Napoleon III and was later purchased by Christofle, very fine quality pattern with leaves & scrolls, fancy monogram, a fine set in excellent condition, Juxataposed with sober round forms is Albi 2 flatware by Christofle. Taking its name from the French City of Albi, this pattern is an expression of the Louis Philippe style. Albi 2's structure was inspired by the straight pure lines of Albi's Cathedral as reflected in the thin double ridges which graces each flatware piece. Placing themselves on the Albi Silverplated flatware by Christofle are the gracious double lines. Albi Silverplate is unique in that its unadorned, down-to-earth nature makes it easy for it to incorporate itself in any setting. |

GALEA Galea is the reinterpretation of an ornamental motif created by Nicolas Cornu in 1775: double interlacing. Its forms are supple and rounded "like a stone polished by time." This flatware with gentle forms expresses movement and modernity. Galéa is available in Christofle silver and sterling silver. The King replenished his tables with the new Christofle silver plate. From this time Christofle became supplier to the imperial house of France and Europe.
